Municipal projects

Safe and accessible water is a key indicator of public well-being. It is widely used for household and hygiene needs, food production and consumption, and drinking. To ensure that consumers receive safe and high-quality water, it must be treated in accordance with current national regulations and statutes.

Currently, in Latvia, the quality of drinking water and the maximum permissible concentrations of contaminants are governed by Cabinet Regulation No. 671 “Mandatory Safety and Quality Requirements for Drinking Water, Monitoring and Control Procedures.” As of December 16, 2020, the Official Journal of the European Union has issued the European Parliament and Council Directive (EU) 2020/2184 on the quality of drinking water.

SIA WATEX has implemented various municipal projects throughout Latvia:
1. Vaiņode Municipality, Embūte Parish water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 6 m³/h. The project was completed in 2021.
2. Naukšēni Municipality, Eriņi Parish water treatment plant reconstruction. The plant capacity is Qmax = 7 m³/h. The project was completed in 2021.
3. Naukšēni water treatment plant reconstruction. The plant capacity is Qmax = 7 m³/h. The project was completed in 2021.
4. Kandava Municipality, Zante Village water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 7 m³/h. The project was completed in 2021.
5. Puikule water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 7 m³/h. The project was completed in 2021.
6. Līvāni Municipality, Sutri Village water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 6 m³/h. The project was completed in 2020.
7. Līvāni Municipality, Rožupe water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 7 m³/h. The project was completed in 2020.
8. Kandava Municipality, Matkule Village water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 10 m³/h. The project was completed in 2020.
9. Vecpiebalga Municipality, Ineši water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 6 m³/h. The project was completed in 2020.
10. Rēzekne Municipality, Čornaja Parish water treatment plant reconstruction. The plant capacity is Qmax = 6 m³/h. The project was completed in 2020.
11. Rēzekne Municipality, Stoļerova Parish water treatment plant reconstruction. The plant capacity is Qmax = 16 m³/h. The project was completed in 2020.
12. Mazozoli water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 7 m³/h. The project was completed in 2019.
13. Krāslava Municipality, Izvalta Parish water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 6 m³/h. The project was completed in 2019.
14. Viļāni Municipality, Dēkšāre Parish water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 6 m³/h. The project was completed in 2019.
15. Rubene water treatment plant. The plant capacity is Qmax = 11 m³/h. The project was completed in 2019.
