Privacy policy
This Privacy Policy explains how WATEX ESTONIA OÜ processes personal data on the website and online store www.veefiltrid.ee (the “online store”) in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Information about the data controller

Products may be purchased under a distance contract either through a registered customer account or without creating an account.
1. Purposes and legal bases for processing
- Creating an individual customer account and arranging delivery. We may process the email address and username on the basis of consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Creating a business customer account and arranging delivery. We may process the contact person’s name, telephone number, address and username on the basis of WATEX’s legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Administering customer accounts. We process the email address to provide account access and password recovery on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Processing and delivering orders. We process the customer’s name, email address, telephone number and delivery address to perform the contract and meet legal obligations (Article 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
- Refunding returned goods. We may process the payer’s name, bank account, invoice details, amount and payment information on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Handling customer claims and data-subject requests. We process the information required to meet legal obligations and protect legitimate interests.
2. Categories of recipients
WATEX protects personal data and does not provide unrestricted access to its databases. Personal data may be shared only when necessary with service providers such as hosting providers, couriers, payment processors, banks and authentication providers that apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Data may also be disclosed to competent public authorities where required by law.
3. Data retention and security
Personal data is retained only for as long as required by the purpose of processing, applicable law, contractual obligations, legitimate interests or valid consent. Some service providers may process personal data outside the European Union or European Economic Area. In such cases, WATEX uses appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or Standard Contractual Clauses.
WATEX applies appropriate safeguards against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, use or destruction. Online-store account data is generally retained for two years after the customer’s last purchase. An account that has not been used for more than two years may be deleted together with the related account data, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
3.1. Processing of feedback form data
Through the feedback form, we process the feedback, ratings and photographs you provide, your name, email address, telephone number, selected parcel locker, optional order or invoice number, and technical data needed to protect the form and prevent misuse. The purposes are to review the feedback, contact you where necessary and dispatch the thank-you product.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as processing is necessary to administer participation in the feedback programme and the requested delivery; Article 6(1)(a) for publishing feedback and photographs; and Article 6(1)(f) for protecting the form and preventing misuse.
Feedback and photographs may be published after review only if you have consented. Your name, contact details and other identifying private data will not be published. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting info@veefiltrid.ee; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
The form content and attachments are emailed to info@veefiltrid.ee using Resend, provided by Plus Five Five, Inc. This may involve processing in the United States. Applicable transfer safeguards include the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Resend retains email content and logs for up to 30 days. WATEX retains form data and photographs for up to 180 days, unless longer retention is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
4. Your rights
To exercise your rights, send a signed request to WATEX ESTONIA OÜ, Reti tee 11, Peetri alevik, Rae vald, Harju maakond, 75312, Estonia, or an electronically signed request to info@veefiltrid.ee.
Subject to the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, erasure where legally applicable, withdrawal of consent and restriction of processing.
